Laser Fume Extraction Systems and Filters

Fume extraction is an important element of any laser marking installation, helping to remove the smoke and particulate debris generated during the marking process. Fume extraction helps your operations by :

• Improving uptime by keeping your laser lens clean
• Maintaining safe operator working conditions
• Helping ensure product quality by keeping production lines clean

275x350-FumeExtractor-Oracle

Designed specifically for high throughput applications, the AD Oracle Laser Fume Extractor packages a powerful range of unique features into one compact unit. Closed Loop, Automatic Flow Control allows the user to preset correct flow rates for lower noise levels and further protection of both filters. The two-stage pre-filter has a massive 12 m² of surface area to limit filter loading and extend time between filter changes.

The below features all come as standard:
• Auto sensing voltage (90 – 257 v) for global use
• Closed Loop, Automatic Flow Control
• Reverse Flow filter technology to enhance filter performance and ensure longer filter life
• Stainless steel housing
• Small footprint and low noise levels

275x350-FumeExtractor-Access

The Advantage Access Laser Fume Extractor was designed specifically for low-to-medium throughput applications. Its basic design meets the performance needs of most 10W laser applications while providing a filter condition indicator as standard.

Key features include:

• Three stage filtration: pre filter, HEPA filter and chemical (charcoal) section
• Filter condition indicator
• Small footprint

275x350-FumeExtractor-PVC

The Advantage PVC Fume Extraction system has been purposely designed to effectively deal with the extremely corrosive fumes that are generated when lasing PVC.

Each unit is fitted with a specific HCL sensor as well as a general purpose VOC sensor to continually monitor the exhaust air of the unit. Closed Loop, Automatic Flow Control control comes as standard so consistent processing conditions are maintained. The patent pending, Easi-Glide filter location mechanism makes filter change simple, quick and safe.

Key features include:

• Blower with high airflow and pressure
• HCL and VOC gas sensors
• Closed Loop, Automatic Flow Control
• Technically advanced stop/start interfaces to laser

Importance of Regular Filter Change

Operational – If filter maintenance is ignored smoke and debris can settle on the laser optics causing permanent damage to the lens and impairing the quality of the marking. As fume extraction efficiency decreases laser downtime increases.

Health and Safety – The particulate generated from most materials is sub-micron size which is a health hazard if inhaled and some materials give off harmful gases which again operators need protecting from.

Benefits – Include high quality print on all your products, maintaining a safe and odor-free environment, keeping your production area clean, and maximum uptime.
